The articling experience at Bereskin & Parr LLP helps students strengthen their IP knowledge and develop practical professional skills in problem recognition, creative problem-solving, effective communication, and drafting. Students are involved in all aspects of the legal practice through mentoring guidance, client interactions and engagement in IP-related activities within and outside the firm. Mentors work closely with students to help them identify their areas of interest, expand their possibilities, and advance their IP careers.
At Bereskin & Parr, students benefit from learning through practice and taking ownership in a professional setting. Each student is assigned to a principal, who ensures that the student is exposed to the required elements of the Law Society Approved Articling Plan. The principal also serves as a mentor to the student by providing ongoing guidance and feedback. During the articling term, students will also engage in discussions with our Professionals Committee regarding their progress.
Ownership, dedication, commitment, work ethic and attitude, and passion for pursuing a career in IP are significant determinants of students’ eligibility for the articling program at B&P.
