Mechanical & Industrial Processes

Mechanical and industrial innovations are fundamental to the profitability, and therefore the success of businesses ranging from small start-ups to established international corporations. A thoughtful patent strategy is important to developing and maintaining a unique product identity.

Members of the Mechanical & Industrial Processes practice group at Bereskin & Parr work in a wide range of areas such as medical devices, oil and gas exploration and recovery technologies, transportation equipment, building products, water treatment systems, manufacturing technologies such as injection moulding, commercial and retail products such as office furniture and household appliances.

Our team is comprised of professionals with diverse educational backgrounds and industry experience, with degrees in mechanical and civil engineering, metallurgy, physics, chemistry and nuclear engineering. Many of our professionals also have multi-disciplinary technical experience, which enables us to more effectively protect inventions that include commercial equipment, consumer products, manufacturing processes, chemical production and products, and oil and gas recovery and processing, in combination with chemical, electrical and electronic aspects.
