Cynthia Rowden’s Retirement Announcement

April 3, 2020

After more than 40 years of exemplary service to clients and to the firm, Cynthia Rowden has retired from Bereskin & Parr. Cynthia is not a person who can be replaced, but fortunately for us, the values, knowledge and wisdom she has instilled in others in the firm are her eternal legacy.

The saying is, if you want to get something done, give it to a busy person. Cynthia has been a leader in the firm and has served as Chair of the Executive Committee. In addition, she is a past President of IPIC and has chaired both its Trademark Joint Liaison and Trademark Legislation Committees. She has also been a member of INTA’s Board of Directors and is a winner of INTA’s President’s Award. For both IPIC and INTA, she has been involved in reviewing, commenting, presenting to the federal government, and informing commentary in relation to Canada’s new trademark legislation. Last September, at IPIC’s Annual Conference, Cynthia was presented with IPIC’s coveted Member of Distinction award.

We wish Cynthia a very well-deserved, happy and healthy retirement.
