November 13, 2014
Carswell has published its second edition of Canadian Patent Law Benchbook, edited by Bereskin & Parr’s intellectual property litigation partner, Don Cameron.
In this edition, contributors bring to bear their experience and analytical skills to produce a meaningful interpretation of this complex area of IP law. It is an essential text for both students and long-term intellectual property law practitioners, and for those seeking to refocus their skills on the fundamental legal and business realities of patent law practice. Don authored the chapter on "Claim Construction" and co-authored the chapter on "Infringement" with Hon. Justice George Locke of the Federal Court. Don MacOdrum, another senior member of the Litigation practice group, wrote a chapter on "Inventiveness", providing his expertise in intellectual property litigation which he has practiced for over 40 years.
Originally created as a resource for Canadian judges, this book is part of a three-volume comprehensive series on Canadian IP law that provides a thorough analysis of Canadian patent law.
