Bereskin & Parr's Don MacOdrum presents at the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI)'s Annual General Meeting

On November 21, 2013, Don MacOdrum presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Group of AIPPI in Montréal. The presentation, entitled "2013 Canadian Law Update", included information on judicial case law and legislation in relation to patents, patented medicines price review, register of innovative drugs, registered industrial designs, trademarks, official marks, copyright, Status of the Artist Act, confidential information, and a brief discussion of some points of Federal Courts practice.
With over 40 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, Don has written, and continues to share his knowledge on numerous articles and presentations on patent and trademark law and other intellectual property topics, and on various litigation topics. His expertise in this area has proven valuable to AIPPI, as he served as President of the Canadian Group of AIPPI for 6 years, and more recently, received an Award of Merit.
AIPPI Canada is a not-for-profit organization, which presents a Canadian perspective to the international community concerned with the promotion and improvement of the protection of IP law.
