CBSA Releases Update of D Memorandum on Copyright and Trademarks

On November 2, 2015, the CBSA released an updated version of its D Memorandum on Copyright and Trademarks (D19-4-3). D Memoranda identify legislation, regulations, policies and procedures used by the CBSA to administer customs programs. The updated D Memorandum for Copyrights and Trademarks reflects those provisions of the Copyright Act and Trade-marks Act implementing the RFA program and clarifies CBSA policies with respect to the new program. It supersedes the previous Memorandum D19-4-3 dated June 17, 2008. It does not offer any additional guidance or commentary beyond what is included in our status report of December 2, 2015, available here.
